“Witnessing in the Midst of Suffering” was the theme we meditated on during the Day of Prayer in November. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood as a witness to Yahweh in the midst of a challenging situation. Their conviction, courage and confidence enabled them to make a bold testimony in the midst of difficult times. They were able to witness boldly because they were convinced that their God is able. In fact, King Nebuchadnezzar challenged the power of Yahweh. The king’s confrontation with the boys became a contest with Yahweh Himself.Their conviction gave them the courage to face trials, and they stood firm in
boys became a contest with Yahweh Himself.

Their conviction gave them the courage to face trials, and they stood firm in the face of persecution, even knowing their lives were at risk. They also witnessed with confidence, trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is in control. What God expects from us is to trust Him in the midst of challenges. The pagan world witnessed the power of Yahweh, and ultimately, God’s name was glorified. The young men did not know what God would do, but they were convinced that He was able. Let us be people of conviction, that we may courageously witness Christ in the midst of challenging situations.

The second semester classes began at the end of October. As faculty, we had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on deep learning. As times change, it is important for us to stay relevant in our teaching methods and update our curriculum to meet the emerging demands of ministry. We are committed to improving our systems
in this regard.

Several members of our community have experienced healing. Two of our campus kids received the miraculous touch of God as they faced very challenging situations. We thank God for their healing and continue to uphold our campus children in prayer for their spiritual growth and academic development. Our desire is that they will come to know the Lord at the right time. Our online courses are progressing well in both Tamil and English, aimed at equipping laypeople for effective witnessing. We are also meeting regularly for the pastors’ seminar, and we remain committed to developing pastors for more effective ministry.

We invite you to partner with us in this endeavour through your prayers and financial support.

In His Steps,
Rev. Dr. Prakash Abraham Mathew
